Qualifications

Three Routes to International Recognition

Cambridge Advanced gives students flexibility in depth and breadth — from specialised A Levels to the AICE group diploma and the independent Cambridge IPQ.

Cambridge International AS & A Level

Over 50 subjects across English, Languages, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Creative & Professional fields. Students specialise in 2–3 subjects for depth, or take a broader range. Graded A*–E (A Level) and A–E (AS Level), with exams at the end of the course.

Cambridge AICE Diploma

A group award requiring study across at least three Cambridge subject groups plus Cambridge Global Perspectives & Research. The AICE Diploma demonstrates academic breadth, balance and excellence — highly regarded by universities in the US, UK and worldwide.

Cambridge IPQ

A standalone qualification taken alongside AS & A Level. Students complete a 5,000-word research project on a topic of their own choice — graded A*–E. The Cambridge IPQ develops research, reflection, communication and higher-order thinking skills, and helps students stand out in university applications.

Assessment

Three Ways to Take Your A Level

Cambridge Advanced offers three flexible assessment routes, giving students and schools the choice of how to structure the programme — with all exams taken at the end of the course.

01 · AS Level Only
Students take Cambridge International AS Level only. The syllabus content is half a Cambridge International A Level. This option typically takes one year and earns a standalone AS qualification.
02 · Two-Stage Route
Students take Cambridge International AS Level in one exam series and Cambridge International A Level in a later series. This staged route typically takes two years and allows students to bank their AS results.
03 · Full A Level
Students take all papers for Cambridge International A Level in the same exam series, usually at the end of a two-year course. This is the most common route at JPIC.
04 · Linear Assessment
All examinations take place at the end of the course, giving learners more time to develop a deeper understanding of their subjects before being assessed.
