Assessment

Tracking Progress Towards Upper Secondary

Cambridge Lower Secondary offers four assessment types, helping teachers monitor learner performance and report progress with confidence throughout Stages 7, 8 and 9.

01 · Measure Potential
MidYIS is an on-screen baseline assessment for ages 11–14 that identifies learning needs, measures potential and helps predict future performance in Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level.
02 · Provide Feedback
Formative assessment guidance throughout the year helps teachers give meaningful feedback on skill development so students can reflect on and improve their performance.
03 · Monitor Progress
Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Tests assess knowledge and understanding in English, Mathematics and Science across Stages 7, 8 and 9, at any time of year.
04 · Check Achievement
Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint monitors performance at the end of the programme. Results are benchmarked internationally, and learners receive a statement of achievement and a diagnostic feedback report.
